son of Sheryl and Irwin Gershon, on his forthcoming
marriage on July 6 to Stephanie Levine, daughter of Fran and David Levine of
Highland Park, New Jersey. In August the proud couple will be leaving for a

FINANCIAL STATEMENTS for the fiscal year ending August
31, 2008
were mailed this week. In order to be treated as a member (or supporter) in
good standing for purposes of High Holiday seat selection, you must pay these
commitments by August 15. If you have any questions about
the statements, please contact Marvin Nagler. If
current finances do not permit you to make full payment at this time, please contact
Neil Shapiro or Marvin Nagler to discuss alternative
payment arrangements.
HIGH HOLIDAY SEATING
QUESTIONNAIRE. A questionnaire seeking views regarding
High holiday seat selection procedures was distributed
at the last membership meeting and has been emailed. Please respond if you have
not already done so. Completed questionnaires can be given or sent to Victor Oelbaum or Burt Nusbacher or can
be returned by fax to 212-299-6719.
3 ON 3 MENS BASKETBALL
TOURNAMENT. There
will be a 3 on 3 Mens Basketball Tournament for teens and up on Sunday
morning, June 29, with funds raised being donated to
the Yad Eliezer charity
organization in Israel (www.yadeliezer.org ).We thank all those who have already signed up for the
tournament. There is no charge for playing, but a suggested donation of $18 to Yad Eliezer is recommended.
Sponsorships are also welcome. The tournament will take place on Rabbi Schwalb's new basketball court and on other courts around
the Wildwood Road / Evergreen Drive area. If
you are interested in playing or contributing, please contact one of the four
Commissioners, Joshua Levine (jlevine@elliottmgmt.com ), Mitchell Nathanson (mitchell@nathansonlaw.com ), Bruce Wenger (bwenger@optonline.net ) or Yair Menchel (yaches1015@gmail.com ), or contact Rabbi Schwalb (eschwalb@kayescholer.com). Teams and rules will
